Fine Art students,

SENIORS! Many of you, if you choose your last electives wisely, will be able to finish a Fine Arts minor. This gives you a great talking point in interviews and grad school applications to round out the whole cadet. All is takes is a signature from your department chair (I'll get the second signature) -- see details and form attached. OR, if you're not into the minor, consider taking something you may never get the chance to experience again once you graduate.

EVERYONE ELSE! You, too, can plan your electives towards a Fine Arts minor or just enjoy the wide range of new courses and old favorites.

I will be in my office in Capers 121B tomorrow, Thursday Oct 19, from 7 am to noon if you want to discuss your class schedule and/or the minor. Or shoot me an email to set up an alternate time.

To get a taste of our exciting new digital media course offerings, Prof. Sargent is offering "Zombie Animation" workshop TOMORROW, Thurs Oct 19 from 6:30-7:30 pm in Capers 313, the Digital Media Lab. This specifically relates to the new 2D Animation course but you could also see the tech for the other classes. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Just show up and play around!

Why am I sending this out to you? Because if we don't get 10 students into every class before Thanksgiving Break, there is the strong possibility that those classes will get cut. So please, REGISTER EARLY and REGISTER OFTEN if you want these art classes to survive.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions -- ya'll know I love what I do and love to talk about it with students even more!

All best,

Prof Silverman
