Did you ever wonder that about an animation?

The Arts Department is offering animation again next semester and I am getting questions about it so I thought I would send out a brief email and cadet sample.

  1. Do I have to be good at drawing? No. We will mainly use imported photographs and graphics so you can start animating quickly.
  2. Do I have to know a lot about computers, coding, or any other software? This is an intro to animation class and I fully understand that most cadets have had little exposure to this type of software. If you have the desire to animate, the knowledge and ease of making things digitally will develop over the semester.
  3. What software will we be using? After Effects. The same software used in post-production of feature films, commercials and motion graphics.

Lastly check out Elizabeth's Webster stellar animation to see an example of what you can do...

Have more questions? Send me an email.
